Welcome to Sangre De Cristo Lodge. We’re certainly glad to have you.

We will provide linens and towels if your stay is longer than 3 days. HOW DOES THIS WORK? If it’s a quick trip please bring your own. We always suggest you pack a jacket (in the summer) for cool evenings and mornings. In the winter obviously you’ll need layers of warm clothes, snow boots and more.
We have some staples. WHAT ARE THEY?, but you must provide your own food. We do have a list of caterers if you’d like to call and schedule them for your stay. IS THERE A COOK IN TOWN THAT CAN BE HIRED?

Our kitchen is stocked with needed utensils to cook and serve most meals: Cookware, coffee pots, silverware, dinnerware, etc. With big group, we suggest bringing paper and plastic cups, paper plates and plasticware. There is a nugget ice machine in the pantry, but you will want to bring ice chests for large groups as there will be a tendency to run low in the summer months. There is an additional refrigerator in the garage for ample cold storage. We have kitchen supplies.

High Altitude
Please keep in mind that Sangre De Cristo Lodge is at an elevation of about 8,500 feet. As youprepare for a trip here please keep the following tips in mind to get acclimated to thehigh altitude: Start drinking lots of water a week or so prior to your trip here and continue doing so during your stay. To avoid dehydration it is suggested that you drink water even when you’re not thirsty. It’s also a great idea to cut out caffeine as you prepare for your trip! The most common symptoms you may experience from the altitude are a headache, slight fever and/or slight upset stomach. If you experience this,
DRINK WATER!
I will have brochures for local attractions, info on the resort, restaurant menus, Lowe’s etc ready for guests as well. Just haven’t finished that part yet. Y’all help me think of what I’m missing. I’ll also reorganize this list for easy reading.
